Planting Seeds and Patience
Many parents become so frustrated, angry, sad, and disheartened because they're child is not living or acting in a way that is in line with how they are being raised. This anger and helplessness affects your relationship with your child and causes resentment on both ends. Over time your influence over your child becomes weak and possibly non-existent. It is time to change your attitude. Think of your parenting as planting seeds. When you plant seeds it takes time and patients to see them grow. If you stay a positive and influential force in your child's life by focusing more on maintaining relationship the seeds you plant are more likely to grow. When you insist on seeing the fruits of your parenting labor instantly you attitude and spirit become exhausted and you chance never seeing the fruits later on.
